The Law on the Simplification of the Procedures for Licensing Industrial Installations (Industrial Licensing Law) was approved by the cabinet in January 2017. It was subsequently approved by the House of Representatives in March 2017, and went into effect after President Abdel-Fattah El Sisi ratified it and it was published in the Official Gazette in the edition dated May 3, 2017.
